HyperPay Goes Live with MOZN's Financial Crime Prevention Suite to Power Its Next Phase of Growth

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — [XX Date] — MOZN, a global leader in enterprise AI for high-assurance domains, has deployed a comprehensive AML compliance suite for HyperPay, one of the leading financial technology and digital payment providers in the MENA region. The compliance suite has sharply reduced false positives and average alert handling time at HyperPay, while enhancing compliance with the AML/CFT requirements of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).
For payment service providers, AML capacity sets the pace of the business. Screening queues delay merchant activation, false positives consume investigator hours, and new products and payment rails cannot go live until the compliance requirements are met. As HyperPay's merchant base and product lines grew, that capacity had to scale with it, under strict deadlines and with no room for slippage.
MOZN deployed its AI and NLP-driven financial crime prevention suite designed to address AML risks specific to HyperPay’s payments business. Screening runs on MOZN's patented Arabic-first name matching engine, which automatically handles transliteration variations across thousands of merchants and beneficial owners, improving match rates. Monitoring rules were mapped to SAMA's AML/CFT typologies relevant to the payments sector, including but not limited to structuring, micro-transaction layering and sanctions risk. Throughout, MOZN's forward-deployed engineering teams worked as an extension of HyperPay's team.
For HyperPay's compliance function, the shift is structural. Fewer false positives and faster handling return investigator hours to the alerts that carry real risk. Regulatory readiness is now a standing capability. And because the suite is designed to absorb new products, higher transaction volumes, additional payment rails and evolving SAMA requirements, growth becomes a matter of configuration change, not a rebuild.
"MOZN worked with us as a true strategic partner from day one. Their team brought deep payments and AML expertise, stayed closely engaged from configuration through go-live, and helped us go live on time under SAMA's AML/CFT requirements. It's a foundation that has allowed us to scale our compliance program for continued growth," said Noura Al-Muzainy, Chief Compliance Officer, HyperPay.
"HyperPay's growth reflects the pace at which Saudi Arabia's payments ecosystem is evolving, and compliance has to move at that same pace. We are proud to partner with HyperPay on an AML compliance suite that brings AI built for this market to the problem, alongside deep financial crime expertise. This is where we believe AI will matter most in this region: enabling financial institutions and fintechs to build stronger, more scalable compliance programs without slowing innovation or growth," said Malik Alyousef, Co-founder and Deputy CEO of MOZN.
Saudi Arabia's fintech sector is scaling fast, and supervisory expectations are rising with it. The institutions that grow well will be those whose compliance functions can move as quickly as their products do.
